hi, I'm Fay

The teacher behind Sweet Stitches

I'm a former primary school teacher with over a decade in the classroom and 13 years of crochet behind me. These days I teach children and adults through workshops, small groups, private bookings and one-to-one sessions.

Teaching is what I know: how to make something tricky feel doable & how to keep a room calm, kind and encouraging. Crochet is what I love. Putting the two together is the happiest work I've done.

what I care about

How my sessions feel

Calm & kind

Unhurried, supportive and genuinely fun. No pressure, no comparison - just a lovely couple of hours.

Small groups

Typically six learners, so everyone gets real attention and moves at a pace that suits them.

Confidence first

Skills matter, but confidence matters more. Everyone leaves having made something they're proud of.
